Almond Butter Recipe Thermomix

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit. Ingredients 250g almonds, raw, activated, dehydrated or roasted 1 tbsp coconut oil or macadamia oil, optional.

All you need is almonds (yes i wasn’t kidding when i said it’s easy) to create the perfect spread without the nasties and limiting your waste, especially when purchased from the wholefood collective where your almonds will come in compostable packaging!

Let the almonds cool until they’re just warm (not hot), about 10 minutes. Use as a spread in place of peanut butter. But for those of you who don’t already make homemade almond butter, i hope this post is useful!

I know almond butter isn’t the most exciting recipe to post. Put 300gr raw, unsalted almonds on a baking tray and roast in the oven for 10 minutes. Scrape down the bowl, then blend for 5 minutes / speed 5.

Adding cashews will help the butter to form faster. Store the jar of nut butter at room temperature and give it a stir before using. Put all ingredients into to blend.

Add almonds (250g) to the bowl and blend 30 seconds/speed 9. At this point, the nut butter should have a spreadable consistency. Scrape down the bowl again, and if using, add the salt and blend again for 1 minute / speed 4.

With blades spinning at speed 5, slowly add in some oil, mixing with spatula, until you reach texture desired. Sometimes the timing varies depending on the freshness of the almonds. Store in jar & keep in fridge.

Remove and allow to cool for 5 minutes. Spread the almonds across a large, rimmed baking sheet and toast the almonds for 10 minutes, stirring halfway. Scrape down the bowl and mix on a lower speed of 3 mins/speed 4 until nice and creamy.

Start the grinding slowly through all speeds up to 9, and once there grind for 3 minutes. Place butter into thermomix bowl and mix 40 sec/50ºc/speed 4 (this will loosen up the butter, but not melt it completely which you don’t want to do … if it is completely melted the cake will be heavier). Put the almonds in the mixing bowl and mix.

Empty the almonds into the thermomix bowl and grind for 3 mins/speed 9. Making raw almond butter is much easier if you have a powerful food processor that can quickly grind the nuts into a smooth paste. Insert butterfly, then add yoghurt, milk, vanilla and eggs and mix 10 sec/speed 3.

Place the almonds into the thermomix bowl and grind for 1 min/speed 9. No olive oil because it interferes with the almond taste which i suspect is the reason reviewers felt it needed honey. While it is possible to do this in a blender, be prepared for some frustration and a lot of stirring.

Return the almond milk to the thermomix bowl with additional water if desired, salt, vanilla and dates. Replace almonds with nuts of your choice, eg peanuts, cashews, hazelnuts. For this first method, all you need to do is grind your almonds until completely smooth.

Homemade almond butter is so easy and oh so delicious! Place the almonds into the thermomix bowl with 1l of water. Unlike, a food processor, the butter will be made in 9 minutes and in a single batch.

Three minutes more at 4 and the butter will be ready. Those that require a little more time or cooking skills are rated medium or advanced. 500 g almonds (i use normal ones but you could use dry roasted) instructions.

Place all the ingredients except oil in thermomix bowl and mill 1 to 1.5 mins/speed 9. Stop the machine scrape down and regrind at 5 for 3 minutes. Open the lid, scrape down the bowl and mix again for 1 min/speed 7.

Optional ingredients can be added for a hint of sweet or saltiness such as sugar (my pick being coconut sugar), and a pinch of salt flakes. It was a raw almond butter, and looked like the photo above of my homemade raw almond butter. As you blend, the oil from the nuts will make the peanut butter smoother and runnier.

Put your almonds in the bowl of a food processor fitted with the blade. Place almonds in thermomix bowl process on speed 9 for 45 seconds; Strain through a nut milk bag and remove the solids.

Those that require a little more time or cooking skills are rated medium or advanced. Mix for 5 minutes 80 degrees, speed 2 or until the mixture has thickened slightly. Process on speed 6 until you reach desired consistency, take mc off and check every minute. Add sugar, flour and custard powder. Remove from the oven and let them cool down well.
